Our health check service provides you with an independent overview of work that is either already underway or planned for future implementation. We do not comment on the advisability of the change itself - that is a business decision that rests with you. We look instead at the process - how you get from where you are now to where you want to be.
You might approach us, for example, because:
You don’t know how to develop your ideas
A project has become stuck
Work is running over budget
The programme is too complex
Progress has fallen behind schedule
A key member of your team has moved on
You need advice on how to oversee the change (governance)
The company needs an assessment of the status of the work
In short, there are many reasons why any work might benefit from external review.
We can look at:
The strategic fit between programmes or projects and your organisation's objectives
Programme and project processes and the day-to-day management of work streams
Governance structures, to help you to meet reporting and decision-making requirements whilst supporting the progression of projects and programmes
The risks associated with the change, how they are being controlled, and whether they are appropriately aligned with wider business risks
Our services can help you to make good use of available resources, or to target recruitment so that the work can progress to plan.
We tailor approaches to the needs and resources of our clients, so that you can build or maintain change programmes that work for your unique set of circumstances.
Our services can be adapted to smaller organisations - this can be especially helpful for teams where you don't have permanent project staff but are planning changes that need structure and good governance.

At an initial briefing meeting, we review what you are aiming to achieve. We will also discuss issues of confidentiality and commercial sensitivity. You will be able to ask any questions about the process and outline any detailed requirements.
We then prepare a recommendation of how we will approach the health check and provide a quotation for the cost. Once this has been agreed, we then work with you for a pre-arranged period to carry out the agreed actions – we refer to this as the
This will usually involve working with your management and staff, looking at progress to date. We take note of your existing strengths, and identify any areas where effort might be refocused. The process is tailored to your organisation's aims and, by pre-arranging the timing of our work with staff, we avoid disruption to the day-to-day business wherever possible.
If required, we can help to communicate the purpose of the health check to your team.
Once the gathering stage has been completed, we produce a report, outlining what we have found. If requested, the report will also suggest ways of proceeding with the work you are planning/completing.
The report may suggest further consultancy assistance, for example with coaching, or with setting up governance structures, or with planning further business change work. In this case, the further work will be costed in the report. There is no obligation on you to agree to this further work, or to engage Evalogica Consulting to carry out the additional tasks.
If required, we can also help to communicate the results and any future plans to your team.
Our initial meeting, at which we discuss the requirements for the health check, results in a quote for the work. This meeting is not billed and if we do not proceed with the health check there is no charge to you.
Our charges for the health check are set in line with the complexity of each piece of work, and the time taken varies between reviews. A standard review of an existing programme in a small to medium sized organisation could typically involve around three to five days' billed work, including the report writing and final presentation to the client.
The health check is designed such that, whatever the findings, the process itself has intrinsic value in highlighting areas of excellence that can be reproduced in this or future change approaches, as well as those areas that could be changed. Ultimately, it is your decision whether you take on board any suggestions.
